Sanguine - A Poetry Collection

In the last month, I realized that I wanted to combine my three books of poetry (Expressions of the Soul, Deep Connections, and Stolen Moments) into one collection. It seemed like a great project, but it was time consuming. I spent days making sure the format was correct for a print edition. I decided to name it Sanguine. Why you might ask?

Well, the first definition that people associate the word sanguine is blood red. I found this definition pretty fitting giving that some of the poems are about family (blood) and some are emotionally draining.

What you may not realize is that the first, true definition of sanguine is optimistic or happy. That definition fits in my mind the most, because it showcases a frame of mind that, as a tortured artist, I sometimes struggle with. The underlining aspect of many of my poems is optimism or a search for happiness. Hope. That distinct human trait of hoping for a better life or something better to come along.

There are no new poems in this book. It is just a complete collection as of May, 2016. Unlike my previous books, Sanguine will be the only poetry collection (so far) that will remain as a print edition. It is 6x9 with 208 pages. Here's a look at the cover:
