Into the Meadow - Anniversary Post

I am so happy and excited to share this post with you. It has been 10 years this month since I became a published writer as Cristie Noll. Into the Meadow was published in March 2015. I am not sure where the time has gone, but I am so glad it has brought me to this point.

For those of you who don't know, Into the Meadow is my first novel. It follows the characters Sophia and Cade as they go through all the trials and tribulations of their lives and love.

I wanted to share some stuff with you about Into the Meadow.

It had two covers. The first one is one I still love, but I went in a different direction when I had Into the Alaskan Wild (BOOK 2) ready for publication. So I ordered a new cover to match.

The description did change over time, but due in part from the familiarity I had with the whole Running Rampant gang of characters and the Roaring Fork universe!

Description

Sophia Barlow was on the run with secrets that threatened the man she came to love. Determined to face her past, she will do anything to protect Cade. Cade is the Alpha of the Branham pack and resort owner, with one eye on the future and the other on the newest outsider to arrive in Stoney Brook. He will face anything to have Sophia – for better or worse.

Cade Branham’s rise to power as Alpha wasn’t unexpected. When he moved the pack from Seattle to the tourist town of Stoney Brook, the Great Smoky Mountains didn’t seem like a big enough place for his big dreams. When a beautiful outsider arrives at his resort looking for a job, all thoughts on the future turn to her. Sophia’s secrets threaten to tear them apart, but denied isn’t what Cade wants. Sophia became his pursuit. Come hell, high water, or a sadistic former pack leader, she would become his mate. That was the only future he wanted.

Sophia Barlow had a lot of secrets that could end her life. She didn’t know where life would take her before arriving in Stoney Brook. Sophia had thought it would be a stopping point to earn some money. Surprised there was a werewolf resort in town, she applied for the only available job entirely unsuitable for her skillset. One fateful moment in the elevator, she came face-to-face with the man who made her picture a real future. Kids. House. Happiness. Love. She wanted him. One night was all she wanted before disappearing into the night, never to be seen again.

One sexy Alpha. One night scented meadow. One woman seeking love. And that was the biggest mistake. One night told her all she needed to know. She would do anything to protect Cade and have a future with him. So she left without saying a word to face her past.

Will Cade and Sophia have the happy life they want? Will Sophia be able to face her past and come back to the man of her dreams?

Setting

Roaring Fork is the setting for the Running Rampant series and A Long Way Home. Roaring Fork is a ficitious town in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you have ever been around Gatlinburg, TN or the Sevier County/Cocke County area, that is what Roaring Fork is based on. The mountainous terrain. The back roads. The winding curves. The sweet, closed off people. And the insanity of tourist traffic that makes life HELL in summer. 

That place is the home of my heart and where I was born. The magic of those mountains wove themselves INTO my heart and soul.
